Start with the airport name, terminal and your accommodation's Korean address. Choose the Airport Railroad, a bus or a taxi based on the sections you will travel with luggage and your arrival time.
Save your accommodation address and arrival terminal first
First check your booking confirmation to see whether you are arriving at Incheon or Gimpo Airport and which terminal you will use. Save your accommodation's Korean name together with its road-name address. If several hotels have the same name, having the branch name too can reduce the chance of going to the wrong one.
Plan your route around when you can actually leave the airport, rather than when your flight lands. Search again for the route to your accommodation after immigration, baggage collection and mobile-service activation.
Compare trains, buses and taxis through to the final part of your journey
If taking the train, check how far you will walk from the arrival station to your accommodation. If taking a bus, check whether its stop is nearby. For an airport bus, check the boarding point at your terminal and service information for your travel date. Before choosing a taxi, ask whether the vehicle can fit your whole party and luggage, and how extra costs such as tolls are charged.
The AREX Express Train and All Stop Train have different stops and ticket conditions. Check which train suits the station near your accommodation, and allow for transfers or walking after you alight.
If you arrive late or have time before check-in
If you arrive late at night, prepare your accommodation's late check-in instructions along with your transport. Use official airport information to find transport available after trains or buses stop running, and avoid choosing a vehicle solely on the basis of unofficial soliciting on site.
If you arrive in the morning, ask whether you can leave your luggage at your accommodation first. If storage is unavailable, reduce plans that would involve pulling suitcases through narrow alleys or up and down stairs.
