WOWPASS combines shop payments with Tmoney transport functions, while Climate Card is a transport pass for a defined service area. Choose according to the days you will stay in Seoul and those you will travel to Incheon or Gyeonggi.
Choosing Discover Seoul Pass is easier if you first compare the paid attractions you want to visit and the validity period. If you are only visiting palaces, also consider individual tickets, and check the separate conditions for Changdeokgung's Secret Garden.
Start with the airport name, terminal and your accommodation's Korean address. Choose the Airport Railroad, a bus or a taxi based on the sections you will travel with luggage and your arrival time.
Find your route using your destination's Korean name and prepare a transport card or ticket. Check the direction, transfer signs and final exit in order to make navigation easier.
Prepare your accommodation's Korean address and a payment method before booking a taxi. Use an app such as k.ride or board at an official taxi stand, and keep a record of the ride when you get out.
Check both the bus number and direction, and press the stop button as you approach your stop. On days you travel farther from Seoul into Gyeonggi or Incheon, look up the return bus in advance too.
The 100 Must-Visit Tourist Spots in Korea: Getting to the Entrance
All 100 entries selected for 2025–2026 have departure hubs in Seoul and local access options listed. Find grouped attractions by individual place, and islands and mountains by their boarding and visiting conditions.
Compare trains, express buses, intercity buses, flights, rental cars, tour vehicles and ferries, and prepare for the journey from Seoul to your destination and back.
Compare the AREX Express Train and All Stop Train when traveling from Incheon Airport to Seoul Station. The Express Train uses a separate ticket and reserved seats, while the All Stop Train calls at intermediate stations such as Hongik Univ. and Gongdeok. Allow separately for the journey from Seoul Station to your accommodation.
Compare routes from Incheon Airport to the Incheon Terminal Station and general bus terminal area. Review the AREX All Stop Train route with a transfer at Gyeyang Station and city bus 303 from Terminal 1, then plan the onward trip from your stop to accommodation in Guwol-dong or the bus terminal platforms.
For Suwon Station from Incheon Airport, check the alighting stop for Airport Bus 4100. Bus 4000 toward Dongsuwon and Bus 4100-2 via Homaesil follow different routes. Further local travel is needed from Suwon Station to Hwaseong Haenggung Palace or your accommodation.
For Seoul Station from Gimpo Airport, consider the AREX All Stop Train. Allow separately for walking from the domestic or international terminal to the station. When transferring to KTX or the subway at Seoul Station, check your ticket and platform again.
Check the AREX All Stop Train route from Gimpo Airport to Hongik Univ. Station. The station has several exits, so choosing the direction using your accommodation's Korean address can reduce backtracking.
For Myeongdong from Gimpo Airport, compare the route via Seoul Station with a transfer to Line 4. Allow for walking inside Seoul Station and the distance from Myeongdong Station to your accommodation, as well as the airport train journey.
For Gangnam from Gimpo Airport, first check whether the Line 9 service is local or express and where you will alight. Express trains do not stop at every station. Transfers and walking after arrival depend on which part of Gangnam you are visiting.
For Myeongdong from Incheon Airport, compare airport bus stops with rail-transfer routes using your accommodation address. Rather than choosing a stop by the area name Myeongdong alone, also consider how far you will need to walk with luggage at the end.
For accommodation in Hongdae, compare the AREX All Stop Train that stops at Hongik Univ. Station with the airport bus route. You may still need to walk to your accommodation entrance after reaching the station or stop, so save the Korean address on your map.
Gangnam covers a broad area, so airport transport depends on which station your accommodation is near. Compare the arrival points of bus and rail routes with your accommodation address. Do not count arrival at Gangnam Station as arrival at your accommodation.
Look up the lines used to travel between Seoul, Incheon and Gyeonggi, and station names in Korean and English. Even on the same line, stops differ by the train's destination and whether it is an express service. For sections extending beyond the metropolitan area, such as the Gyeongchun Line or Line 1, check your actual destination too.
