If it rains, pair one nearby indoor place with a meal in the neighborhood you are in. Check museum and exhibition opening and reservation details, and reduce the sections you walk between buildings.
Start by finding one nearby exhibition
If you are in Jongno, consider nearby exhibitions such as those at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul. If you are in Yongsan, consider the National Museum of Korea. Before traveling far, read the official information to check whether it opens that day, requires reservations or has closed galleries.
Indoor itineraries still involve some outdoor walking
Not every subway station and building is linked underground. If you have large luggage or a stroller, check elevator and exit locations, and think about where you can fold your umbrella when entering. Watch for wet stairs and slippery floors; reducing the number of journeys can make things easier.
It is fine to shorten your plans further if the weather worsens
If access to streams, parks or outdoor facilities is restricted, follow the instructions on site. Replace outdoor photography plans with an exhibition and a meal, and consider resting near your accommodation if rain and wind strengthen. You do not need to fill a revised rainy-day itinerary as fully as the original one.
