Two Days and One Night in Busan: Haeundae's Coast and an Observatory

Stay in Haeundae, with the beach and a walk toward Mipo on the first day and Busan X the Sky as the choice for the next. Allow separate time for travel from Busan Station to Haeundae.

Choose this plan if you want both a coastal walk together and an indoor view. Decide where the two of you will turn back instead of completing the whole Green Railway.

Getting to the First Stop

Look up high-speed trains from Seoul Station to Busan Station. If using the metro, check the route from Busan Station on Line 1, transferring at Seomyeon to Line 2 for Haeundae Station. With lots of luggage, compare taxis or booked vehicles separately.

Day 1 · Beach and Mipo Walk after Arriving in Haeundae

  1. Around Haeundae Beach

Check luggage storage conditions at your accommodation and rest at the beach. If arriving late in Busan, see only this section and have dinner.

Travel from Busan Station to Haeundae by metro transfers or a separately secured taxi. The journey from Haeundae Station to your accommodation or the beach still remains.

  2. An Optional Section of Mipo and Green Railway

If you want to walk, join Green Railway at Mipo and decide where to turn back. Do not make going all the way to Cheongsapo or Songjeong part of the plan.

Walk toward Mipo at the eastern end of the beach. The Beach Train and Sky Capsule are not included in this walking itinerary.

Day 2 · Optional Busan X the Sky Visit, Then the Journey Back

  1. Busan X the Sky

Decide whether to visit after checking weather, visibility and entry conditions. Outdoor views may be hazy, so the same scenery is not guaranteed on a rainy day.

Decide whether to walk or take a taxi from your accommodation to LCT's observatory visitor entrance according to the actual locations.

  2. Lunch in Haeundae and Travel to Busan Station

Return to Busan Station after lunch. Do not add Seomyeon or Gamcheon Culture Village and increase travel just before your return.

Travel from Haeundae to Busan Station by metro or a vehicle you have secured.

Meals and Breaks

Even restaurants close to the beach differ in operations and waiting times. If a companion does not eat raw fish or seafood, decide on cooked dishes and alternative meals first.

Rainy Days or Days When Walking Is Difficult

Reduce beach and Green Railway walks. An indoor observatory visit is an option on days when admission is possible, but visibility may be poor. If operating or ticket conditions do not fit, focus on meals and rest at your accommodation.

Preparing for the Journey Back

Haeundae and Busan Station are not within one walking area. Leave time for local travel and boarding preparations inside the station before your train departs. Check the return route before adding a longer walk on the second day.

Booking, Stairs and Weather Checks

  • Walking Green Railway and riding the Beach Train or Sky Capsule are different activities. Check tickets and operations separately.
  • Observatory ticket purchases, discounts and overseas card payments are not guaranteed.
  • Vehicle alternatives are travel suggestions that travelers must actually arrange, rather than services already booked.
