Recheck your flight's airport and terminal first
Check ICN or GMP on your ticket, whether the flight is domestic or international, and the airline actually operating it. Even with the same airline, use the flight information to check your terminal at Incheon Airport. Do not assume it is the same airport or terminal you used on arrival.
Work backward from the airline's check-in, baggage-drop and boarding deadlines to set your target airport arrival time. This guide does not give one deadline for every flight. Check the airline and airport notices for that day together.

Allow separate time for check-out and luggage collection
Ask when and where you can collect luggage left after checking out of your accommodation. If you use a locker, check whether it is inside or outside the station's ticket gates and when you can access it. Add the journey from your final attraction back to the luggage collection point.
If you have rented items such as pocket Wi-Fi or a car, allow separately for the actual return location, acceptance deadline and transfer to the terminal afterward. Ask the rental provider whether the return point is inside the airport and whether it is at the terminal you will use. On your last day, choose a brief stop near your accommodation or along your route to the airport instead of adding several markets or cafes. Yeongjong, Songdo and the Open Port area are different places; do not assume an Incheon itinerary puts you next to the airport.
Look up transport in the direction from your accommodation
Rather than simply reversing the route you took from the airport to Seoul, search from your actual departure point to the relevant terminal using your travel date and departure time. Check boarding locations and ticket conditions separately for the AREX Express Train, All Stop Train, airport buses and taxis.
For the first or last service, or an early flight, first check whether trains and buses are running. If the route does not work, compare booking conditions separately for a vehicle or accommodation near the airport. Do not treat transport you have not secured as a confirmed part of your itinerary.
You still need to move through the airport after arriving
Follow the airline's boarding procedures through check-in and baggage drop, security screening, departure immigration and the journey to your gate. Decide on shopping or meals after checking your gate and boarding deadline.
If you have purchases for which you want to claim a tax refund, check the seller's and airport's official information in advance for eligibility, documents and verification locations. Find out whether any checks are needed before packing the items in checked luggage, and do not assume every purchase qualifies for a refund.
