Getting to the First Stop
Use Jeondeungsa's official directions to check connections from Seoul and transport hubs in Ganghwa or Gimpo. If buses do not fit, arrange a local vehicle for the round trip in advance, and do not assume you can get a taxi immediately.
One Day · A Temple Visit and a Separate Coastal Historic Site
Jeondeungsa Temple
Enter through the temple's visitor access route and see the halls that interest you. Follow on-site guidance and visit quietly in worship spaces, avoiding areas where photography is prohibited.
Connect local buses or a booked vehicle from your actual arrival hub from Seoul to Jeondeungsa's entrance. Match the vehicle drop-off location, such as the east or south gate, with the actual start of your walk.

Rest after visiting the temple and decide on your next journey. If you are low on energy or the weather is bad, you can head back without adding Chojijin.
Decide first whether to return to the gate you entered or leave through another gate, then coordinate pickup by your booked vehicle.
Chojijin on Ganghwa
Travel by vehicle and take a short look around the coastal historic site. Remember that it is a separate facility, not part of Jeondeungsa's grounds.
Look up a taxi, booked vehicle or local bus that actually connects Jeondeungsa and Chojijin. Do not make walking continuously between the two facilities the default itinerary.

Meals and Breaks
After visiting Jeondeungsa, rest at a restaurant that is actually open near the temple or along your next route. Temple tearooms and restaurants are not guaranteed to be open or have seats on your visit date.
Rainy Days or Days When Walking Is Difficult
Both the mountain temple and coastal historic site involve outdoor travel. In light rain, visit only a short section of Jeondeungsa's public areas. In heavy rain or icy conditions, shorten the itinerary or change the date.
Preparing for the Journey Back
Arrange vehicle or bus connections from Chojijin to your return hub for Seoul in advance. If your vehicle must return to Jeondeungsa, choose the pickup point after both visits when booking.
Booking, Stairs and Weather Checks
- Jeondeungsa and Chojijin have different last-admission times and public access areas.
- If you cannot secure transport, choose just one area instead of confirming an itinerary linking both facilities.
