Incheon Itinerary · Half a Day

A Cultural Walk: Incheon Open Port Museum, Art Platform and Chinatown

See an exhibition in a former bank, then continue to creative spaces and food streets. Walk the Open Port area with one exhibition of interest and a meal as your main stops.

You can decide together whether to spend longer at exhibitions or take more photos in the lanes. If traveling alone, reduce the walking area to suit the artworks you want to see. The route does not make Jayu Park's hill essential, keeping the focus on exhibitions and street walks.

Getting to the First Stop

Look up a route from Seoul on an Incheon-bound Line 1 train or the Suin-Bundang Line to Incheon Station. Incheon Airport Station and Incheon Station are different places, so prepare your transfers separately if coming directly from the airport.

Half a Day · Exhibitions and Open Port Lanes

  1. Incheon Open Port Museum

Start with the former bank building and stories about the port opening and railways. After seeing an exhibition that interests you, look for buildings in the surrounding streets to put them in context.

Set the museum's address as your destination and walk from Incheon Station. Compare the facility name with other museums toward Sinpo.

  2. Incheon Art Platform

Walk between the buildings outside and choose one exhibition open to visitors that day. Distinguish artists' studios from public exhibition spaces.

Walk from the Open Port Museum to Art Platform. Use the official program information to find each building's current exhibition and the entrance you can use.

  3. Chinatown

After your walk, have a meal and return to Incheon Station. Focus on a restaurant and the area around the Chinese-style gates rather than walking up and down every lane.

Walk from Art Platform to Chinatown's food streets. If slopes and stairs are difficult, choose somewhere to eat closer to the station.

Meals and Breaks

Plan a meal in Chinatown as one substantial break. Check the ordering units for noodles, rice and other dishes, along with sauce and broth ingredients. If you want a break between exhibitions too, choose a café that is open that day when you arrive.

Rainy Days or Days When Walking Is Difficult

In light rain, focus on the museum and Art Platform exhibitions that are actually open, with short walks through the lanes. In heavy rain, leave out Chinatown's hillside walk and keep just one exhibition and a meal.

Preparing for the Journey Back

Save the walking route from your last restaurant to Incheon Station. If staying until the evening, check the last train that allows all transfers to your accommodation before setting out.

Booking, Stairs and Weather Checks

  • The whole Art Platform complex is not an exhibition space that is always open to the public.
  • This Open Port itinerary centers on Incheon Station. Do not add Songdo or Yeongjong Island to the same half day.
