Getting to the First Stop
Look up trains from Yongsan Station that stop at Jeonju Station. Jeonju Station is not inside the hanok village, so plan local travel to a bus stop toward Jeondong Cathedral and the village or to a tourist information center.
Day 1 · Gyeonggijeon Shrine, Taejo-ro and an Overnight Stay Near the Hanok Village
Gyeonggijeon Shrine
After arriving from Jeonju Station, start with Gyeonggijeon Shrine. Check entry conditions, then rest over a meal nearby after your visit.
Take a local bus or taxi from Jeonju Station toward the hanok village, then walk to your chosen visitor entrance.

Choose one craft shop or tearoom you want to visit and take a short look around the lanes. The uphill walk to Omokdae and a survey of the whole village are not part of the default itinerary.
Walk around Gyeonggijeon Shrine. Check separately before booking whether you can reach your accommodation with luggage.
Day 2 · Cathedral Exterior, Pungnammun Gate and Nambu Market
Around Jeondong Cathedral
See the cathedral's exterior and nearby streets, then continue toward Pungnammun Gate. If Mass, an event or on-site guidance applies, prioritize users' access over sightseeing.
Walk from your accommodation in the hanok village or look up a short vehicle journey if needed.

After seeing Pungnammun Gate, choose a place to eat in the market. Do not assume a night market will be held, and return to Jeonju Station after eating.
Walk around Pungnammun Gate and Nambu Market. The journey from the market to the station requires a separate bus or taxi ride.

Meals and Breaks
Even for familiar menu names such as Jeonju bibimbap and kongnamul gukbap, ask whether broth, meat or egg is included. Choose hanok accommodation after checking bedding type, stairs, bathroom and heating conditions.
Rainy Days or Days When Walking Is Difficult
Reduce lane walks and choose an exhibition space open to visitors at Gyeonggijeon Shrine or a nearby cultural facility that is operating. If indoor opening cannot be confirmed, switch to meals and rest at your accommodation.
Preparing for the Journey Back
Ask your accommodation whether you can leave luggage after check-out. Before extending your market visit, recheck the connection between local travel to the station and your booked train departure.
Booking, Stairs and Weather Checks
- Do not assume visits inside Jeondong Cathedral are always allowed.
- Lane surfaces, thresholds and the facilities of hanok accommodation need individual checks.
- Do not include a Saturday night market or a particular performance as a continuously available part of the itinerary.
