Adjust how much to walk on the island, then return to the wharf after eating. Families should first discuss whether children can take the boat and walk outdoors. Companions should discuss whether they want similar walking lengths.

Getting to the First Stop

Look up ITX-Cheongchun services from Yongsan or Cheongnyangni that stop at Gapyeong, or compare routes from your accommodation to Gapyeong Station on the Gyeongchun Line. Check rail travel separately from island admission and ferry-boarding conditions.

Day Trip · From Gapyeong Station to the Island and Back to the Same Wharf

  1. Nami Island Wharf in Gapyeong

Before boarding, arrange both the return ferry and final land journey. The island is in Chuncheon, but the mainland wharf is in Gapyeong.

Look up the officially listed No. 10-4 bus from Gapyeong Station for your travel date, or arrange a taxi connection.

  2. Nami Island Forest Paths

After entering, use the map to decide where you will turn back first. Instead of circling the whole island, walk one forest section and eat, then walk a little more or return to the wharf according to your energy and the weather.

Take a ferry that is operating to enter the island, then walk. Bicycle use, activities and amusement rides are not part of the default itinerary.

Meals and Breaks

When choosing a restaurant, check ingredients and spiciness and ask whether a child's meal can be ordered separately. Choose open restaurants and rest stops according to on-site information that day.

Rainy Days or Days When Walking Is Difficult

Postpone the island visit in heavy rain or if ferry operations are affected. If the weather worsens after you arrive on the island, shorten the walk and return according to operating guidance. Do not rush to switch to a distant indoor attraction in the surrounding area.

Preparing for the Journey Back

Work backward to connect the ferry off the island, transport from the wharf to Gapyeong Station, and the train from Gapyeong to Seoul. Avoid barely connecting the last ferry with the last train, and check whether you can actually secure a taxi at the time you need it.

Booking, Stairs and Weather Checks

  • This itinerary alone does not guarantee stroller or wheelchair access or assistance boarding and leaving the ferry. Ask the operator separately about any help you need.
  • Do not assume luggage storage at your accommodation or lockers at the wharf are available.
  • Add children's activities separately only after checking the program's age, booking and accompanying-adult conditions.
