Getting to the First Stop
Search the whole route from your Seoul accommodation to the Museum of Modern History of Korea in Heyri. Compare a combination of Gyeongui-Jungang Line trains and local buses via Geumchon or another station with buses from Seoul. Check the final journey from your alighting point to the museum separately.
Half a Day
Museum of Modern History of Korea
Visit after checking the museum's opening and entry conditions directly for your date. Ask in advance if you need to know the exhibition language and extent of explanations, and prepare translation tools for content you want to understand fully.
Find the museum's address on Heyri Art Village's official map and choose a nearby alighting point or entrance. Do not set only the village name as your destination.
Lanes Near the Museum
Use Heyri's official map to walk among nearby buildings and lanes. If you want another exhibition, choose just one that is operating. Distinguish studios and residential spaces from public visitor spaces.
Walk from the museum toward the entrance you will use to leave. Do not repeatedly cross between the ends of the village just to see another exhibition.
A Nearby Café and Rest
Rest near the place you visited and decide your route home. Follow each space's permissions for photography inside buildings or of artworks.
Save the route from your last café to your bus stop or taxi boarding point before leaving.
Meals and Breaks
Rest at a nearby café or restaurant after visiting the museum. Not every space in the village closes on the same days, so choose your meal stop according to operations on your visit date too. Check foreign-language menus and overseas card acceptance directly.
Rainy Days or Days When Walking Is Difficult
You can reduce the itinerary to focus on one museum, but journeys between buildings and to the bus stop are outdoors. In heavy rain, leave out the lane walk and return after the indoor visit and a meal. If the museum itself is closed, choose a new exhibition that is open before setting out.
Preparing for the Journey Back
Check the direction of the bus stop based on your final visitor space. Do not treat the route back to Geumchon Station and the bus to Seoul as the same service. Taxi assignment may be delayed where you need one, so avoid leaving the village just before the last train.
