Two Days and One Night in Suncheon: One Day Each for the National Garden and Wetland

Visit Suncheonman National Garden on the first day and Suncheonman Wetland on the next. Use their separate entrances and do not combine Yeosu into the same day.

This suits a trip where you want to see flowers and gardens separately from reeds and wetlands. It involves walking in large outdoor spaces, so first consider children's energy and agree on the walking range your companions want, leaving room to shorten sections.

Traveling with children · Spouses · Solo travelers · Longer walks and slopes · Mainly outdoors

Getting to the First Stop

Look up trains from Yongsan Station that stop at Suncheon. If using the No. 66 bus, distinguish the National Garden (East Gate) and Suncheonman stops, and check how far that particular bus goes using information for your date.

Day 1 · Selected National Garden Areas and a Stay in Suncheon

  1. Suncheonman National Garden East Gate

Use the map at the east gate to choose the garden areas to see today. Decide on any remaining sections after a meal and rest rather than trying to cover the whole garden at once.

Look up the No. 66 route from Suncheon Station in the official tourist information for your date, or a taxi. Set the east gate for general visitors as your destination.

  2. Selected Walks Inside the Garden

If your walking companions tire, finish after the areas already chosen. The default itinerary does not promise any particular amusement, hands-on activity or sightseeing ride.

Walk only in open areas inside the garden. Arrange the journey back to your accommodation separately from the garden entrance.

Day 2 · Suncheonman Wetland, Then Suncheon Station

  1. Suncheonman Wetland

Read admission and restriction information, then decide how much to walk in the reed-bed visitor area. Leave the climb to Yongsan Observatory out of the default itinerary and save energy for the journey back.

Travel from your accommodation to Suncheonman Wetland's visitor entrance by local bus or a vehicle you have secured. Do not search for the National Garden entrance again.

  2. Lunch and Return to Suncheon Station

Eat after leaving the wetland, then return to the station. Plan a short visit on the second day if you would otherwise need to rush for your train.

Recheck bus directions and departures from the wetland to Suncheon Station, or use the vehicle you arranged in advance.

Meals and Breaks

Prepare water and children's snacks before outdoor visits, and follow on-site rules on bringing in food and eating. Do not assume restaurants inside the garden and around the wetland operate in the same way.

Rainy Days or Days When Walking Is Difficult

Shorten the garden section and postpone the wetland visit in heavy rain, intense heat or strong winds. A nearby indoor facility to use if the wetland is closed has not been verified in this guide, so no substitute itinerary guaranteeing an indoor visit is included.

Preparing for the Journey Back

Coordinate local travel from your accommodation to the wetland and on to Suncheon Station with your return train. Check the bus or vehicle out before entering the wetland, and do not rely on the last transport connection just to see the sunset.

Booking, Stairs and Weather Checks

  • Check operations and entry conditions for the National Garden and wetland separately.
  • Do not assume SkyCube is an automatic transport connection or that its ticket is included.
  • Add children's activities only when their age, booking and guardian conditions have been confirmed. A boardwalk does not guarantee barrier-free access throughout the whole route.
