National Gugak Center, Gugak Museum and an Optional Traditional Performance

Explore traditional music at Gugak Museum, then add a National Gugak Center performance if there is one you want to see. Museum visits and performance bookings are separate. Even without a performance, you can visit according to the museum's operating days.

Visit in This Order

  • National Gugak Center — The default is an individual Gugak Museum visit. To add a performance, choose the production, date, venue, eligible ages and seat, then book separately. The museum's English tour is not a performance.

How Much Walking Is Involved in Each Section?

The times and distances below are map-route records checked in the source. Allow separate time for visits, queues and meals. Actual walking distance changes if your starting or finishing point changes.

Opening Hours and Bookings

Gugak Museum, 10:00–18:00, last admission 17:30. Each performance venue follows the individual production's dates and sessions. The museum closes on Mondays and January 1. Some visits may be restricted while programs run on Wednesdays and Saturdays; check performances individually.

Individual museum visits are free and do not require advance booking. Groups book by telephone in advance, and English tours need separate applications. Performances have separate ticketing and age conditions; museum admission does not guarantee performance entry.

This suggests leaving plenty of time for the museum and breaks. Actual time varies with your visiting pace and queues. If choosing a performance, add its actual running time and entry queues separately.
