Visit in This Order

  • Seosomun Shrine History Museum — First consider your companions' interest in and emotional response to the exhibitions. Visit quietly in the chapel and pilgrimage spaces.
  • Culture Station Seoul 284 — The basic plan views the former Seoul Station exterior from areas where walking is permitted. Add an indoor exhibition only after confirming that it is open on your date.

How Much Walking Is Involved in Each Section?

The times and distances below are map-route records checked in the source. Allow separate time for visits, queues and meals. Actual walking distance changes if your starting or finishing point changes.

Opening Hours and Bookings

The Korean FAQ and home page list 09:30–17:30, with last admission 17:00. This conflicts with older English late-opening guidance, so Wednesday evening visits are not promised. Closed on Mondays, January 1, Seollal and Chuseok. Check separate temporary-restriction notices before visiting. Culture Station Seoul 284: basic hours during exhibitions or events are 10:00–18:00, with last admission 30 minutes before closing. During Design of Care from 2026-09-17 to November 1, Wednesdays alone extend until 19:00. Closed on Mondays and during periods without exhibitions or events; the current exhibition also closes on Chuseok. Indoor visits are not guaranteed after exhibitions end or during changeovers.

Museum group tours and education and Culture Station Seoul 284 building tours and activities each need separate applications. Indoor admission and program bookings are not included in the basic exterior visit.

This suggests half a day for the museum, architectural observation and breaks. Actual time varies with your visiting pace and queues.

  • Visit quietly in the chapel and pilgrimage spaces. Commercial on-site photography requires prior permission.
  • Neither the absence of emergency restrictions nor nighttime operation on 2026-10-18 was verified on site.
  • Culture Station Seoul 284 closes during periods without exhibitions or events. Recheck indoor opening after 2026-11-01.
  • Choose another theme if companions find exhibitions about religion, persecution or execution uncomfortable.
