Ganghwa History Museum

Explore each period slowly, starting with prehistory

Exhibitions include prehistoric remains, artifacts from Goryeo royal tombs and heritage passed down in temples and Confucian schools. Choose a period of interest to explore details rather than scanning everything at one pace.

With children, begin with objects whose uses can be guessed, such as pottery or household tools, rather than explaining every name. Videos and descriptions help connect the stories when visiting Ganghwa's historic sites too.

Distinguish permanent exhibitions from special exhibition schedules

Alongside permanent exhibitions are special exhibitions with changing themes and educational programs. For a particular exhibition or activity, check its period and participation conditions in official information before visiting.

When combining the museum and Dolmen Park, set indoor viewing times first and place outdoor walks before or after. Save the museum name together with its Ganghwa-daero, Hajeom-myeon address for taxi destinations.
