When Departing from Seoul
Choose your transport hub first: Busan Station → Osiria Station
This approach is Seoul Station → high-speed train to Busan Station → Bujeon Station on Metro Line 1 → Bujeon Station on the Donghae Line → Osiria Station. It includes the walk between the metro and Donghae Line Bujeon stations.
First plan how to get from your accommodation to the actual departure station or terminal. For trains, check the departure and arrival stations and whether transfers are needed. For buses, choose the exact terminal as well as the destination city. Seoul, Yongsan, Cheongnyangni and Suseo are different stations.
Travel to Each Place’s Entrance
Places in the same selected group do not necessarily share entrances, tickets or opening hours. The options below explain how to reach each place you choose; they are not an itinerary for visiting every place in order.
Haedong Yonggungsa Temple
- 01
Suggested Vehicle Access · Advance Arrangements Required
Osiria Station → Haedong Yonggungsa Temple parking lot and visitor entrance
Taxi or Prebooked Vehicle
Access to the temple after Osiria Station is a separate section, and slopes and stairs follow the entrance. This is a suggested approach requiring a separately arranged vehicle for your travel date and a return pickup agreed in advance.
Osiria Tourist Complex
- 01
Suggested Access Based on Location · Check Directions Before Departure
Busan Station → Osiria Station or the main entrance to your booked facility
Rail transfer and local vehicle
The complex does not have a single entrance. After reaching Osiria Station on the Donghae Line, choose the facility you will actually visit and look up the additional route.
Map links search for locations by name. They are not directions checked for exact entrance coordinates or actual services on your travel date. Enter your departure point, destination and chosen transport in a map app to check the route again.
Bus alternatives found in official guidance
These public transport options can be compared with the vehicle sections of the basic approach. The items below are alternatives for different departure points, not a route taking every bus in sequence. If your arrival hub from Seoul differs from the bus boarding station, add the journey between them on the map.
Officially published route · Recheck current service
Haedong Yonggungsa Temple · City bus 139 or express bus 1001 + walk
Osiria Station Exit 1, Donghae Line → Osiria Station bus stop → Yonggungsa Temple/National Institute of Fisheries Science bus stop → Haedong Yonggungsa Temple visitor entrance
Visit Busan describes transferring to bus 139 or 1001 at Osiria Station and getting off at Yonggungsa Temple/National Institute of Fisheries Science. Walking to the temple entrance and along stairs remains after the stop, so do not treat station arrival time as admission time.
Even for officially published routes, look up operation, boarding stops and direction again for your travel date. If frequencies do not fit, compare the vehicle approach in the basic guidance.
Prepare for Booking, Access Restrictions and the Final Leg
- Do not combine Haedong Yonggungsa and individual facilities in the complex into one drop-off point.
For sections using taxis or booked vehicles, discuss round-trip availability, pickup locations and charges such as waiting fees and tolls with the provider before departure. A vehicle is not guaranteed to be immediately available outside railway stations or at remote attractions. If you choose local buses, check the exact stops, direction and return services too.
Plan Your Return to Seoul First
First decide how to return from your last attraction to the transport hubs listed as “Busan Station → Osiria Station”. If you leave through a different gate, port or trail from the one you entered, check again whether you can use the same vehicle pickup point.
- Allow time to reach the actual pickup location after sightseeing, descending from a hike or disembarking.
- Make separate arrangements for local buses or booked vehicles and your long-distance return journey. If tickets are sold out, compare other services or an overnight stay.
- Check whether subway or bus connections to your accommodation will still be running after you arrive in Seoul.
When your day includes a boat trip, hike or evening visit, leave a buffer before plans that are difficult to change, such as an international flight the next day.
