Compare trains arriving at Gyeongju Station with Gyeongju-bound buses, and prepare for onward travel from the station or terminal to Hwangnidan-gil, Daereungwon or Bulguksa Temple. Fares and journey times vary by travel date, service and seat. Use the links below to look up actual tickets and compare the full journey from your accommodation to your first stop.

Which Method Would You Like to Use?

High-Speed Rail

Look up trains arriving at Gyeongju Station from departure stations such as Seoul or Suseo. Compare the name Singyeongju Station in older articles with the station name on the current booking screen, and save the current Gyeongju Station on your map to avoid going to the old city-center station location.

Express and Intercity Buses

Compare buses from Seoul to Gyeongju too. Their arrival hub may be closer to your first stop than the railway station, but consider road congestion and services actually operating too.

Continuing to Busan

First decide whether to make a return trip from Seoul or continue to Busan after Gyeongju. For the latter, coordinate the separate journey from Gyeongju to Busan with accommodation check-in rather than buying a Seoul return ticket first.

After Arriving in Gyeongju

Additional travel is needed from Gyeongju Station to Daereungwon or Hwangnidan-gil. Do not combine Bulguksa into the same walking itinerary. Find separate bus or taxi routes for each destination, then decide what fits into a day.

Plan Your Return to Seoul Too

If planning a night visit to a place such as Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond, choose your return service with the journey back to Gyeongju Station or the terminal included. If a night visit and return to Seoul make the schedule tight, compare local accommodation too.

Before Booking and Setting Out

  1. Save the exact departure and arrival places and date from the booking screen. Check the Korean names too, to avoid selecting a different hub with a similar English name.
  2. Read the booking service's requirements for overseas-issued cards, phone numbers and passport names, and check that a ticket was actually issued after payment.
  3. If choosing a short connection, check movement inside the station, check-in deadlines and the conditions for handling delays. Even when using on-site purchase as an alternative, remaining seats are not guaranteed.
  4. Save your accommodation address and station or terminal maps, and check that your phone's data connection works.
