Getting from Seoul to Jeju: Comparing Transport and Traveling after Arrival

Which Method Would You Like to Use?

Flights from Gimpo

Look up domestic flights from Gimpo Airport to Jeju Airport for your travel date. Before booking, check how much baggage, seating and change conditions are included in each airline's fare.

Land Transport and Ferries

To travel by ferry, find an operating departure port and company first, then connect the journey from Seoul to that port. Do not assume ferries from Incheon to Jeju always operate; check sailing dates, vehicle-loading and check-in conditions.

After Arriving in Jeju

Travel from Jeju Airport to accommodation in Jeju City differs from travel to Seogwipo, Jungmun or the island's eastern or western areas. Compare airport buses, city buses and taxis using your accommodation's exact address. If renting a car, also read the procedure for reaching the collection point.

Plan Your Return to Seoul Too

If you plan to take an international flight after returning to Seoul, first check whether you need to travel between Gimpo and Incheon airports. Weather can affect flights and ferries, so leave enough time to avoid a tight connection between domestic arrival and international departure.

Before Booking and Setting Out

1. Save the exact departure and arrival places and date from the booking screen. Check the Korean names too, to avoid selecting a different hub with a similar English name.
2. Read the booking service's requirements for overseas-issued cards, phone numbers and passport names, and check that a ticket was actually issued after payment.
3. If choosing a short connection, check movement inside the station, check-in deadlines and the conditions for handling delays. Even when using on-site purchase as an alternative, remaining seats are not guaranteed.
4. Save your accommodation address and station or terminal maps, and check that your phone's data connection works.
